The ever popular Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Railroad Regional Park, often called the skinniest park in Virginia, runs through the center of town. The 44-mile running, cycling and skating paved trail winds between Shirlington and Purcellville, Virginia with the approximate midway mark the Town of Herndon. (Aug. 2020)
