Rubin Sztajer, the 92-year-old Holocaust survivor, tries on his new U.S.S. Herndon DD-638 cap. The ship nicknamed “The Lucky Herndon” was selected to lead the destroyer division during the Normandy Invasion and suffered no loss of life.
