First Lieutenant Lucas Salzman takes his shopping partner duties seriously as he helps 8 year-old Jordyn (“please call me Melan – with a heart shape over the ‘e’”) choose a new pair of sneakers. With three youngsters of his own, including two girls, Salzman was up to the task, but said that shopping with “Melan” was especially enjoyable since she has “great fashion sense and really knows what she likes.”
