Showcasing an astounding 86 artists, artisans and specialized vendors from the broader community, Herndon Parks and Recreation produced the 2018 Herndon Holiday Arts & Craft Show on Sunday, Dec. 2. One-of-a-kind items, from hand-thrown vases to wood crafts lured shoppers to the must-attend annual event.
The vendors made accessible to shoppers works in a variety of mediums and at a range of prices, making the selection of gifts with personality an easy process for the serious buying audience. Many repeat attendees visited the no-admission-charge event
"I saw Lori here last year and had to come back," explained Celia Benz of Manassas as she stood with vendor Lori Hentschel of Ashburn trying to decide which crystals to add to the personalized charm bracelets.
Held at the Herndon Community Center, the daylong show provided an opportunity for the artisans and artists to talk about their work and garner interest from attendees from the Town of Herndon and surrounding communities.
Santa comes to Runnymede Park this Friday, Dec. 7 from 6-7:30 p.m., 195 Herndon Parkway, for the free event, "Santa, Stars, & S'Mores.” Follow the luminaries to the campfire and enjoy hot cocoa, storytelling, music and Santa Claus. S’mores kits available for sale.
